BE KIND

THE KINDNESS PROJECT

I AM HOLDING SPACE FOR YOU

I want to send kindness through the mail. Like an old-fashioned love letter. So, I purchased several copies of one of my most favorite books. I added a pocket inside the cover and personalized it with the stamp I custom ordered many years ago during residency. Each book then receives a handwritten library card with the recipient’s name. I handwrite a letter, tuck it into the book between the pages I sense will resonate with the receiver, and send it off with love. I ask for them to spend as much time with the book and its beautiful messages as they see fit. Then they either send it back or pass it onto the next receiver. It’s a continual chain of kindness. And it’s my way of holding space for someone during a difficult or challenging time.
